A Fourth of July-Inspired Family Session
Kasey’s favorite holiday has always been the Fourth of July, so it only made sense to let that inspiration shape their maternity/family session. Instead of leaning into traditional posing or props, we built the evening around everything that feels like childhood summers, family cookouts, and that unmistakable early-July excitement.
Bomb pops melting just a little too fast. Bright red flags catching the breeze. Juicy slices of watermelon passed around between laughs. Sparklers waiting for the sun to dip just low enough for that first glow. Every detail brought a sense of playfulness that perfectly matched this season of waiting and anticipation.
Set against the backdrop of their beautiful blue home, the entire session felt cohesive and personal—like the space itself was part of their story. The color of the house paired effortlessly with the patriotic tones, giving the session a soft, classic Americana feel without ever feeling staged.
As the afternoon wrapped up and the sparklers faded into smoke and laughter, there was this beautiful sense of anticipation for what’s ahead. Baby brother will be here in just a few short weeks, and this chapter—this warm, sun-soaked, Fourth of July-inspired moment—will always be part of his story.
So much joy. So much excitement. And so much love already waiting for him.
