Four Generations at Grant Park Beach | South Milwaukee Family Photography

There is something incredibly meaningful about gathering multiple generations together. These are the moments that only become more valuable with time, and I feel so honored whenever families invite me to preserve them.

This special session at Grant Park Beach in South Milwaukee was planned as a birthday celebration for an amazing mom and grandma. Rather than gifts, the family chose to celebrate with something that will last forever—photographs documenting the people she loves most.

We also made time for portraits of the grandparents with their grandchildren, a few photos of each individual family, and plenty of candid moments along the shoreline. While the focus was on celebrating Mom's birthday, it was wonderful to document the love shared throughout the entire family.

Grant Park Beach provided the perfect backdrop with its peaceful Lake Michigan shoreline, soft sand, and beautiful evening light. It's one of my favorite locations for extended family sessions because it offers plenty of room for everyone to relax, play, and simply enjoy being together.

One of my favorite things about extended family sessions is knowing these images will only become more treasured as the years pass. Children grow, grandparents age, and life changes quickly. Taking the time to document four generations together is truly a priceless gift.
