Tree Farm Engagement Session | Maria + Nick
Some love stories begin with years of friendship, while others start with one perfectly timed night out. Maria and Nick's story began the weekend before the world shut down in 2020, when they happened to meet in downtown Milwaukee while each was out with friends. Neither of them could have imagined just how much life was about to change, but through it all, they found each other—and now they're planning to say "I do" next September in Brillion, Wisconsin!
For their engagement session, we wanted to capture two places that felt true to who they are. We started at O'Malley Family Farm & Nursery (formerly Trees for Less Nursery), where the rows of Christmas trees and vibrant fall colors created the perfect backdrop. The leaves were showing off some of their best autumn hues, making every corner of the farm feel warm, cozy, and full of seasonal charm. It was the perfect setting for slowing down, laughing together, and documenting this exciting season of life before wedding planning kicks into high gear.
After spending time among the trees, we made our way closer to Maria and Nick's home to one of their favorite local spots—South Beach in Port Washington. I always love when couples choose locations that have personal meaning, and this one couldn't have been more fitting. Between the shoreline, lake views, and relaxed atmosphere, it was easy to capture the joy they share together. From playful moments by the water to quiet embraces as the sun began to soften, every part of the evening reflected who they are as a couple.
I am so excited to celebrate alongside these two next September in Brillion. If their engagement session is any indication, their wedding day is going to be filled with so much love, laughter, and unforgettable moments.
Maria and Nick, thank you for trusting me to document this exciting chapter of your story. I can't wait to see you both again next fall!
